Join WSP, and you’ll be at the heart of a team of international experts all dedicated to growing and sharing their expertise and working on projects that transform society for all of us.<p><br></p>WSP is currently hiring an IT On-Site Support Engineer to support our project delivery capability across multiple projects in UAE.<p><br></p>Your new role, what’s involved?<p><br></p><ul><li>I provide technical support across our company; in person, remotely or over the phone. </li><li>I resolve employee issues and requests in a timely and professional manner. </li><li>Respond to IT incidents and requests at my main office location and during visits to site offices in the Middle East. </li><li>I provide investigation, diagnosis, resolution, and recovery for hardware/software problems. </li><li>Monitor, report and contribute to the resolution of problems related to shared IT services (audio/video, printers, Wifi, cabling, networking, etc.)</li><li>I prepare and replace computer workstations, and decommission computers as per the established processes. </li><li>I troubleshoot technical faults and work with external vendors and service providers to achieve fault resolutions when required. </li><li>I direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel. </li><li>Identify and document recurring problems and make recommendations for corrective measures, as well as participate in their implementation when possible. </li><li>I rigorously maintain the inventory of IT assets in the CMDB. </li><li>Participate in various IT projects including the IT scope of office relocation and renovation projects. </li><li>Develop collaborative relationships with office managers to better understand their IT challenges and work with the IT leader to address these needs as effectively as possible. </li><li>I propose improvements to our systems, processes, and the way the IT support team operates in order to improve our service to the business. </li><li>Lead IT induction sessions with a group of new employees to explain where they can find support resources and how to use our systems. </li><li>Guide and train employees on best practices whenever possible and needed. </li><li>Develop collaborative relationships with employees to personalize and improve the service. </li><li>Contribute to the documentation of IT incident resolution processes. </li><li>Participate in the development of long-term strategies and planning for the future needs of IT services. </li></ul><p><br></p>We’d love to hear from you if you have:<p><br></p><ul><li>I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, or equivalent. </li><li>I have at least 5 years of experience in IT service delivery within a large Enterprise class organization, with a minimum of two of those years in a similar IT support team leader role. </li><li>I have strong technical knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure, with experience supporting a range of hardware and software. </li><li>I have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft products in an Active Directory environment and</li><li>expertise in Active Directory user management. </li><li>I am highly skilled in the Microsoft 365 suite, as well as in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Windows OS operating systems. </li><li>Experience in Active Directory, and Windows server and networking technologies such as DNS, and DHCP. </li><li>I grasp technical concepts and principles quickly and am always looking to update my knowledge and skills as technology advances. </li><li>I have excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss technical issues in simple non-technical terms. </li><li>I am excellent in both written and spoken English. </li><li>I am customer-focused, with the ability to provide a high level of service to internal customers. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills and able to apply clear thinking and structure to my daily way of working. </li><li>Able to travel to the project site offices as frequently as required and occasionally to other Middle East regional offices. </li><li>I am ITIL certified and have an in-depth understanding and experience of the ITIL framework. </li><li>Experience and knowledge of ServiceNow. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication in English. </li><li>Degree or certificate in computer science or other computer-related discipline. </li><li>I can work independently in a self-directed manner and collaboratively as a team member in the accomplishment of goals. </li></ul><p><br></p>What’s in it for you?<p><br></p>What if we can have work-life balance?
