To support this key strategic growth area, IoT requires an Architecture Governance Lead to join the IoT Architecture team, which is radily growing and evolving to meet the constant innovations and transformations required to sustain the business. The role involves desiging, evolving and operating the architecture governance across IoT to do what we do, better.

Role Purpose:
• Improve the maturity of the IoT Architecture function to enable us to make the best possible architecture decisions and deliver high quality solutions to the business
• Define, document and evolve the architecture processes, including:
o The Architecture Review Board (forum and process for making architecture decisions)
o Architecture KPI reporting (e.g. Cloud Ready, Geo-Resiliant)
o Maintaining the Application Portfolio (in LeanIX)
• Be responsible for operating the architecture processes e.g. running the ARB, producing quarterly KPI reports and cleansing the application portfolio data
• Improve the quality of the Architecture Repository structure (e.g. Confluence, Teams, LeanIX) so that information can be easily accessed, used and updated
• Investigate and lead the implementation of new tooling for architecture as a part of continuous improvement (e.g. Sparx EA is planned for next year as a design modelling tool)
• Define and evolve architecture artefact templates
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
• Process owner for IoT Architecture
• Accountable for quality of IoT Architecture data and reports
• Accountable for architecture tooling (which tools we use and how we use them)
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
• Understanding of architecture and IT delivery practices and methods
• Experience working in a large multi-national organisation IT department
• Interest and understanding of data and reporting
• Process definition and implementation
• Experience using and/or implementing architecture tooling (preferable)
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• TOGAF certification (preferable)
• Educated to degree level
