Investment Analyst

Job Description

<p>The Investment Analyst will be responsible for developing investment evaluation process to determine the viability and attractiveness of a proposed investment opportunity and also analyzing existing portfolios and identifying new investments opportunities, which supports the specific objectives of the sector.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Major Duties and Responsibilities</p><p>► Involved in identifying new projects opportunities through establishing new contacts and relationships, maintaining network information, and participating in investments forums.</p><p>► Conduct internal/external analysis using SWOT techniques (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) for existing prospective projects.</p><p>► Conduct a legal due diligence to ensure that the property/land faces no legal issues and its legal paperwork is in order.</p><p>► Conduct a valuation study to determine a price range for the value of the property/land.</p><p>► Provide information as an input to the feasibility studies.</p><p>► Conduct a site visit to inspect the physical state of the property/land.</p><p>► Confirm that the proposed investment meets Sector’s acquisition criteria and is in line with Sector’s&nbsp;</p><p>investment guidelines.</p><p>► Conducts market and feasibility studies to identify new investments opportunities and develops proposals and detail budgets for conducting of such studies.</p><p>► Assesses the financial viability of new opportunities, for both existing and new Projects.</p><p>► Reports the financial status and progress of the existing Project to ensure that the performance is aligned with the set budgets, targets, and expectations to initiate appropriate corrective actions.</p><p>► Markets company image to the local and regional business community as a professional in the Projects.</p><p>► Present findings and recommendation to the Investment Management Manager for Approval.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Competencies</p><p>The following competencies must be met and practiced on a continuous basis:</p><p>Behavioral Functional</p><p>► Organizing and Planning Skills</p><p>► Communication Skills&nbsp;</p><p>► Interpersonal Skills</p><p>► Teamwork</p><p>► Initiative&nbsp;</p><p>► Financial oriented</p><p>► Critical Thinking</p><p>► Dependability&nbsp;</p><p>► Analytical Ability </p><p>► Investment Management&nbsp;</p><p>► Advisory &amp; Consultation&nbsp;</p><p>► Language – Bilingual&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Qualifications and Experience</p><p>A minimum of:</p><p>► Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a minimum of 4 years of experience.</p><p>► Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of investment management experience is required.</p><p>► Private Equity experience</p><p>► Proficiency in both English and Arabic Language</p>
