INTERNATIONAL COMMODITY TRADER (Rice and/or Oil Meal Trader)

Job Description

The selected person should be able to independently manage the operations of rice and/or oil meal trade and work as a profit centre, which essentially includes among others the following:
• Identify, develop and cultivate suppliers and buyers of Rice and Oil Meal and negotiate favorable terms for purchase and sale contracts
• Knowledge of sellers’ and buyers’ contracts and must have experience in containerized shipment of physical commodity and its documentation.
• Assess and manage the financial, operational, and market risks associated with commodity trading
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key industry players, including suppliers, customers, brokers, and financial institutions.
• Stay informed about relevant regulations, sanctions, and compliance requirements in the commodity trading.
• Maintain communication with logistics department to ensure deadlines are met
• Periodic sharing of information about the shipments with top management and buyers and troubleshoot any issue on a proactive basis.
• Keep abreast of market trends, carry out market analysis and develop growth strategies
• Prepare reports for performance review on a quarterly basis, identify gaps and action plan to bridge them.
