We make UAE a safer place by providing secure electronic payment solutions, cyber security systems and communications as well as security systems for Dubai International Airport and air traffic management and navigation systems for Abu Dhabi’s airport.<br><br><strong>JOB OBJECTIVE<br><br></strong>Integration and Test Engineer ensures that the IT Infrastructure subsystem is implemented according to the subsystem requirements.<br><br>The Integration and Test Engineer integrates, tests and verifies the system releases from the IT Infrastructure team.<br><br><strong>Roles &amp; Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Responsible for:</li><ul><li>the integration, testing and verification of the IT Infrastructure</li><li>the maintenance, upgrade of the integration and test platform<br><br></li></ul></ul><ul><li>Activities:</li><ul><li>Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint planning &amp; Review, Daily, Retrospective)</li><li>Deploy all necessary tools to monitor and troubleshoot the platform</li><li>Installation of hardware equipment (rack cabinet, devices, cabling)</li><li>Patch, update and maintain the integration and test platform</li><li>Define test procedures against the system requirements</li><li>Integrate the system releases</li><li>Raise problem reports to the team</li><li>Produce integration and test reports</li><li>Support the system engineering team during integration and system test activities</li><li>Prepare training materials and conduct training to peers and customers</li><li>Participate in internal and customer technical meetings</li><li>Configuration of the Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment tools</li><li>Document maintenance procedures</li><li>Support for on-site troubleshooting</li><li>Peer review of requirements, specifications, test procedures and manuals (user, administration, maintenance)</li><li>Run vulnerability assessment and contribute to the remediation actions</li><li>Attend site survey visits and prepare site survey reports</li></ul><li>Technologies</li><ul><li>Linux: Debian, RedHat</li><li>Virtualization/Container: VMware, Docker, Kubernetes</li><li>Database: PostgreSQL, MariaDB</li><li>Network: Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent, Fortinet</li><li>CI/CD tools: Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab</li><li>Datacenter:</li><ul><li>cabling: power, structured cabling system, coaxial, discreet wire</li><li>data and server cabinet</li><li>powerline network, UPS<br><br><br></li></ul></ul></ul><strong>Work Experience Requirements<br><br></strong>A thorough understanding of radio technologies, cloud technologies and an understanding of the development of products within a project environment will be required.<ul><li>Minimum 3 years’ experience in system testing &amp; methodologies</li><li>Minimum 3 years’ experience in complex system integration</li><li>Experience in implementing IT security controls (endpoint protection, PKI, server hardening, network security, VM security)</li><li>Working experience in the following domains: server, storage, virtualization, network</li><li>Very proficient in</li><ul><li>Linux administration,</li><li>Virtualization &amp; container administration (VMware, Docker)</li><li>Network configuration</li></ul><li>Work experience in Defence projects or critical infrastructure is preferred (3-5 years)</li><li>Experience in Thales methods and process is an advantage<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualification, Certification &amp; Educational Requirements</strong><ul><li>BSc in computer science or equivalent qualification</li><li>Qualifications in IT Infrastructure subsystems (network, communication, datacenter, virtualization, software integration, etc.)</li><li>Preferred certifications in</li><ul><li>VMware, Linux System Administration</li><li>System Testing</li></ul><li>Must have high fluency in spoken and written English</li><li>French and/or Arabic would be an added advantage<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Skills<br></strong><ul><li>Technical document writing (test procedures &amp; reports, write troubleshooting and resolution steps)</li><li>Good technical analysis and problem solving skills</li><li>Able to work in a multi-disciplined technology environment</li><li>Able to coordinate with external contractors and suppliers</li><li>Shell scripting and/or Ansible playbooks<br><br></li></ul><strong>NOTE:</strong> This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
