Job Position: Inside Sales Engineer

Description of the role:

In this role, you will be partnering with Sales, Business Development and Marketing, researching, understanding various lines of business and personas. In the daily tasks you will focus on identifying key contacts and decision makers to bring in new leads and qualifying existing leads to find business opportunities. You will maintain a thorough understanding of SAAB RDS’s products and services, our value, industry knowledge including competitive landscape, customers pain points and needs to properly position our solutions and qualify opportunities. Thus, the role is twofold: you will work proactively following up on inbound leads, but you will also be expected to innovate and be creative to contribute to developing new business finding your own leads, being able to work independently.

You will be provided initial training, and will be working closely with your colleagues for mentoring and professional development, but a solid 2-year experience in sales in a multinational company is required.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Qualifying existing leads to find opportunities.
  • Developing a sales strategy and a business plan (account and territory) to find leads to drive opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations.
  • Communicating with customers to understand their needs and requirements and identify sales opportunities: Using technical knowledge to advise and quote customers. Manage customer accounts, maintaining effective relationships.
  • Explaining and demonstrating the functions and features of technology and products.
  • Balancing your time between inbound and outbound lead qualification activities to achieve your pipeline generation targets.
  • Upselling and cross-sell of products and services.
  • Generating revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders; understanding and interpreting technical requirements; providing technical information; developing accounts.
  • Managing existing small-to-medium-sized accounts.
  • Defining and executing your prospecting activities with a strong focus on the business impact
  • Connecting our value proposition to cold contacts.
  • Utilizing your industry and account insight to provide feedback and recommend prospecting activities in collaboration with Sales Account Managers, Business Development, and Marketing.
  • Building specialized knowledge in our customers’ Applications, Trends & Industries.
  • Reporting and forecasting business impact.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Two years minimum experience in a sales role in a multinational company.
  • Able to develop a sales strategy to drive revenue.
  • Proactivity in pursuing any sales opportunities.
  • Engineering background (ONLY Electrical, Telecommunications, Mechatronics).
  • Excellent English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Native Arabic speaker.
  • French knowledge is a plus (oral and written)
  • Motivation to provide customers with industry and application insight.
  • Self-organized and autonomous; must be able to work independently.
  • Knowledge of NI platforms (LabVIEW, DAQ, etc.) is a plus.
  • Confident and effective in communication skills at all levels – internally & externally (both written and verbal).
