Job Description
Key Accountabilities:<br>- NFR requirement definition (Compute Performance, Network)<br>- Reviewing and approving Infrastructure Designs from partners<br>- Managing Key Supplier relationships for Infrastructure partners<br>- Budget forecasting and planning on a yearly basis for Infrastructure domain (infra, tools, license, storage, upgrades etc).<br>- Develop software-based architecture that compensates for failing hardware, delivering resiliency at minimum cost<br>- Conduct dynamic and elastic scaling of services to meet unpredictable service demands<br>- Assess all new database requirements and design database high availability solutions to support business requirements<br>- Contribute to development of database strategy to support business requirements<br>- Gather, analyse business requirements for Cloud Infrastructure Capacity Management<br>- Translate business requirements into technical architecture and solution design<br>- Analyse historical data to generate performance and capacity forecasts and review forecast results vs. business requirements<br>- Define corporate application strategy and plan the upgrade path of all corporate applications<br>- Introduce new corporate applications that support business demands<br>- Conduct storage area network planning and design and Conduct storage performance tuning<br>- Conduct storage and backup capacity planning<br>- Develop technology centralized data backup solutions and translate agreed demands into the actionable plan together with internal teams<br>- Coordinate changes in architecture with support from internal teams ensuring it is synchronized with overall Technology architecture<br>- Define business continuity strategy for corporate applications and review Introduction of new corporate applications that support business demands<br>- Identify and Suggest improvements to the process.<br>- Analyse historical data to generate performance and capacity forecasts and Develop technology centralized data backup solutions<br>- Assess projects design in terms of compliance with architecture guidelines<br>Qualifications, experience, skills and competencies<br>- Minimum Bachelor in Degree in software engineering or network engineering<br>- Nice-to-have certifications in Infrastructure and Networking:<br>- RedHat OCP certification<br>- Cloud-based: Azure/AWS/Google<br>- Qualified and practitioner in different methodologies such as Agile, Scrum , SaFe etc. advantageous<br>- At least 7 to 10 years of experience working in IT projects, for infra planning and delivery<br>- Comprehensive expertise across the Telco IT full stack landscape [Digital, BSS, OSS, ESS]<br>- Proven ability in large projects ~50-100m AED<br>- Ability to work with blended onshore/offshore and vendor teams of 100+ people<br>- Experience in:<br>• Redhat OpenShift Container Platform<br>• VMware vSphere<br>• SAN systems<br>• Networking experience to include LANs, WANs and VPNs<br>• Cisco Experience (working with Firewalls, configuring VPNs, Layer-3 devices)<br>• Backup systems and solutions<br>• Cloud based systems<br>• Clear understanding of HA systems, DR, Geo-redundancy, Load-Balancing (physical/logical)<br>• IT Infra licensing models knowledge<br>• DevOps knowledge<br>• Jira/Confluence experience as well
