As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our organization’s IT infrastructure. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining a reliable and secure IT environment for our employees and clients.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ol><li>Technical Support: Provide first-level technical support to end-users, both in person and remotely, for hardware, software, and network-related issues.</li><li>Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime and disruptions.</li><li>System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and system optimizations, to keep the IT infrastructure running smoothly and securely.</li><li>Hardware and Software Setup: Install, configure, and deploy computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications for new and existing employees.</li><li>Network Support: Assist in maintaining the organization’s local area network (LAN) and assist with network connectivity and related issues.</li><li>Data Backup and Recovery: Implement and monitor data backup procedures to ensure data integrity and be prepared for potential data recovery scenarios.</li><li>Security Management: Collaborate with the IT security team to enforce security protocols, monitor system vulnerabilities, and address security breaches effectively.</li><li>IT Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for IT assets, procedures, and issue resolutions.</li><li>User Training: Conduct training sessions or create user guides to help employees use IT equipment and software efficiently.</li><li>Hardware and Software Procurement: Assist in evaluating and selecting new IT hardware and software, ensuring they align with the organization’s requirements.</li><li>Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for IT-related services and equipment.</li><li>IT Policies and Compliance: Ensure adherence to IT policies, procedures, and compliance standards, including data protection and privacy regulations.</li></ol><p>Requirements:</p><ol><li>Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred but not mandatory with sufficient relevant experience.</li><li>Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an IT Technician in the UAE, dealing with a variety of IT-related issues.</li><li>Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems. Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), Microsoft Office Suite, and basic network concepts.</li><li>Certifications: Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or other relevant certifications are a plus.</li><li>Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with end-users and team members.</li><li>Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve complex IT issues.</li><li>Customer Service: A customer-oriented approach with a focus on delivering exceptional IT support to end-users.</li><li>Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet service-level agreements (SLAs).</li></ol><p>If you possess the required qualifications and hands-on experience in IT support, we encourage you to apply for this position.
