Information Technology Manager
Job Description
<p>This position is responsible for leading and directing software development, software support and networks and server administration with the objective of high-quality service delivery and performance of the department within the limits of IT and Company Policies.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities / PRIMARY</strong></p><ul><li>Plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of organization’s information systems and software applications. </li><li>Manage the complete development lifecycle of software; including gathering requirements, database management, software development, testing, implementation, user follow up, support and projects. </li><li>Mange and implement web and software application projects. </li><li>Manage the integrity, and changes to the application development servers and databases. </li><li>Manage special IT projects as assigned and review the design layout for programs required for special projects.</li><li>Lead and manage development projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues. </li><li>Design, develop and install enhancements and upgrades to systems and application software. </li><li>Manage pre-testing phase of development by evaluating proposals to identify potential problem areas and makes the appropriate recommendations. </li><li>Review and analyze existing applications’ effectiveness and efficiency and develops strategies for system improvement. </li><li>Provides technical assistance to in the development of bid specifications for special hardware or software systems required to implement new programs. </li><li>Reviews performance of applications programs to ensure program efficiency, program documentation, and to ensure that output meets the needs of user departments. </li><li>Manage physical access to data center facilities and racks. </li><li>Manage external support agreements and liaise with vendors. </li><li>Provide and maintain data cabling and associated documentation within the data center. </li><li>Design, monitor and control heat dissipation through the strategic placement of key infrastructure. </li><li>Responsible for the proper upkeep of fire suppression systems.</li><li>Provide fire center safety training for staff. </li><li>Monitor power draw, ensure the proper upkeep of UPS and generators. </li><li>Design rack layouts and maintain relevant documentation. </li><li>Provide access and support to operational infrastructure staff. </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities / Secondary</strong></p><ul><li>Mentor and coach team to enable them to reach their potential. </li><li>Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop team; </li><li>Conduct interviews in coordination with HR, Approve/disapprove leaves, </li><li>Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, handle disciplinary issues, resolve employee’s grievances, advise subordinates on career planning, develop ways to appreciate top performers</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Software Engineering or relevant field of study and/or certification in Project Management.</li><li>8+ years of experience in related field</li><li>Experience in <strong>Aviation is a must </strong></li><li>Experience in Contract Management and Project Management </li><li>Must be living in Saudi</li></ul>
