<strong><u>Job Purpose<br><br></u></strong>Acting as the key interface (business partner) between the business functions and the technical project team; The IS lead will collect, validate and document business requirements and processes.<br><br>Will also lead the projects implementation with the vendor and ensure that the delivered solutions and functionality satisfy the business requirements and support the business/ digital strategy. The IS lead will ensure the right documentation and training in-place and help the business with the change management.<br><br><strong><u>Responsibilities/Duties<br><br></u></strong>IDENTIFY THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVES OF THE BUSINESS.<br><ul><li> Understand the business needs before defining the scope of the project.</li><li> Work closely with stakeholders and technology partners to gather the requirements and propose solution options.</li><li> Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and implement technical solutions.</li><li> Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies.</li><li> Stay up to date on the latest industry trends, and IT innovations to modernize systems and improve user-experience.</li><li> Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas, findings, project progress and proactively raise challenges.<br></li></ul>INFORMATION SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT<br><ul><li> Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.</li><li> Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.</li><li> Improve systems by studying current practices, designing modifications.</li><li> Recommend controls by identifying challenges, writing improved procedures.</li><li> Monitor functional requirements progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.</li><li> Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential and respect data privacy.</li><li> Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.</li><li> Validate resource requirements and develop cost estimate models.</li><li> Interpret, evaluate, and interrelate research data and develop integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making.</li><li> Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reviews and analyses of activities using operational metrics and reports.</li><li> Suggest changes to senior management using analytics to support your recommendations. Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes.</li><li> Create informative, actionable, and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement.<br></li></ul>POLICIES, SYSTEMS, PROCESSES & PROCEDURES<br><ul><li> Maintain business systems operations, documents, business user incidents and requests.</li><li> Ensure that practices and processes exist and are standardized and repeatable. Ensure that these ones are continually improving and produce business cases to support team activities.</li><li> Implement approved departmental policies, processes, procedures, and instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.<br></li></ul>GENERAL<br><ul><li> Other duties, assignments and responsibilities might be assigned. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE<br></li></ul><strong><u>Qualifications<br></u></strong><ul><li> Bachelorβs degree is required in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or related degrees.</li><li> PMP Certification is highly recommended.</li><li> Understanding of MS SQL or other database/ systems administration is mandatory.<br></li></ul><strong><u>Knowledge<br></u></strong><ul><li> Process documentation, design and improvement.</li><li> Technical Manual writing and good business writing.</li><li> Good English level is a must, French is a plus.</li><li> Expert in Microsoft Office.</li><li> Experience in relational database Engines (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, etc). This includes the ability to write SQL queries.</li><li> Proven analytical and problem resolution skills with the ability to assess complex issues with limited information, applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.<br></li></ul><strong><u>Experience<br></u></strong><ul><li> Should have at least 5 years of experience in information systems or business applications field.</li><li> Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.</li><li> Must have a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience managing a high-performing, cohesive team.
