<p><strong>Independent safety Assessor (ISA)</strong></p><p>The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialists are supporting a leading international certification firm who are requiring the following experts for rail projects in the GCC Region:</p><ul><li>Lead ISA</li><li>Signalling Assessor</li><li>Civils / NFPA Assessor</li><li>O&M Assessor</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Conduct comprehensive safety assessments and audits of the railway system, adhering to international standards and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Develop and implement safety management plans and procedures, considering specific domain expertise such as Civils, Signalling, or O&M.</li><li>Identify safety risks and hazards, evaluate their potential impact, and propose effective mitigation measures.</li><li>Review and assess safety documentation, including design specifications, risk assessments, safety cases, and hazard logs.</li><li>Collaborate closely with project stakeholders, including engineers, designers, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure compliance with safety standards.</li><li>Provide expert advice and guidance on safety-related matters throughout the project lifecycle.</li><li>Lead or participate in safety audits, inspections, and accident investigations as required.</li><li>Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in railway safety.</li></ul><p><strong>Key requirements for the role:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.</li><li>Proven experience in Independent Safety Assessment for railway projects, with expertise in one or more of the following domains: Civils, Signalling, or O&M.</li><li>In-depth knowledge of international safety standards and regulations related to railway systems.</li><li>Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate complex systems and identify potential safety risks.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.</li><li>Professional certifications related to railway safety and assessment (e.g., CSM-RA, IRSE, IRATA, etc.) will be an advantage.</li><li>Previous experience working in the GCC Region or familiarity with the regional railway industry is required.</li></ul><p><br></p>
