<strong><u>Job Description</u></strong><p><br></p>About the Company<p><br></p>Petroleum Development Oman is the leading exploration and production company in the Sultanate of Oman. The Company delivers the majority of the country’s crude oil production and natural gas supply.<p><br></p>Purpose of the Job<p><br></p>To articulate high-level, look-ahead plans for proactive exploitation and development of appropriate Telecommunications and Computing Infrastructure in support of all aspects of PDO business at all locations.<p><br></p>Education &amp; Experience<p><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Communications Engineering, Information Systems or related area</li><li>8+ years IT experience of which 5 years must be in a senior supervisory position within a mid to large sized technology environment</li><li>Experience working with customers &amp; service providers in a demanding corporate environment.</li><li>Experience with developing and implementing business &amp; technology strategies</li><li>Preferably with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in return on investment costing &amp; analysis, risk management, performance monitoring &amp; project management.</li></ul><p><br></p>Main Responsibilities<p><br></p><strong><u>Portfolio Planning</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Capture, challenge and rank IM&amp;T Infrastructure demands (Telecom, Computing, Surveillance, Multimedia, end user computing, Collaboration, Networking and Mobility) and provide input to the program build.</li><li>Provide relevant portfolio inputs to Infrastructure plans for presentation to the IDD SG.</li><li>Manage the Infrastructure Capex, monitor expenditure performance and report into finance budget reviews (cost reports, do-ability, rephasing).</li><li>Liaise with Enterprise Architect for all EA related matters.</li><li>Liaise with regulatory bodies, such as TRA, ITA and public Telecom Service Providers.</li><li>Develop and execute projects front end activities (Assess and Select).</li><li>Develop projects proposals (Project Initiation Documents PID’s).</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Technology Planning</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Conduct and manage feasibility studies and PoC for new technology deployments.</li><li>Conduct market intelligence, promotion and marketing of new technologies.</li><li>Develop, and maintain IM&amp;T infrastructure engineering standards in accordance to GU-611 technical standards (PDO Guide to Engineering Standards and Procedures).</li><li>Develop and maintain Infrastructure asset life cycle planning and management (Asset Reference Plans).</li><li>Contribute in the development of IM&amp;T 5 years Technology Plan.</li><li>Ensure Infrastructure designs compliance to Information Security and Information Management.</li><li>Member of relevant Enterprise Architecture Technology Council.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Contracting And Procurement</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Manage and act as Contract Holder for relevant infrastructure Frame Agreements.</li><li>Lead major tender negotiations, clarification meetings and bid evaluations.</li><li>Prepare major tender documents for Infrastructure Price Agreements.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>HSE Management</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Adhere to the requirements of the HSE management System as specified in the CP 122 as HSE – MS Procedure and items cascaded from this document by the team leader.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Skills Required</u></strong><p><br></p>Other Job Details
