Come be a part of this journey!<br><br></strong><strong>BAT </strong>Algeria <strong>IS LOOKING FOR AN</strong> Importation Coordinator<br><br><strong>SENIORITY LEVEL </strong>Non-Management<br><br><strong>FUNCTION </strong> Operations<br><br><strong>SALARY RANGE </strong>Competitive Salary Range + excellent benefits + market leading bonus<br><br><strong>LOCATION </strong>Algiers, Algeria<br><br><strong>ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES<br><br></strong>This role is part of the Operations Function of our BAT office in Algiers, Algeria.<br><br>This role is responsible for the proper handling of importation logistics and documentation, as well as for developing effective partnerships with stakeholders, to ensure smooth and on time importation of materials into the country and clearing.<br><br><strong>Reports to </strong>Operations Logistics Manager<br><br><strong><u>What You Will Be Accountable For<br></u></strong><ul><li>To follow up clearance and ensure discharge under Customs Control Procedures and keep good level of alignment with local Warehouse teams for smooth inbound</li><li>To perform import procedures according to the Customs requirements regarding permissions</li><li>Ensure necessary controls of relevant import documentation are delivered on time in full, through exporting parties with continuous tracking of end to end processes</li><li>Be a role-model for safe and sustainable operations environment.</li><li>Comply by all the Sustainability standards &amp; rules and follow the instruction given by Sustainability team and managers</li><li>Report near misses and risks<br></li></ul><strong><u>Essential Experience, Skills, And Knowledge<br></u></strong><ul><li>University degree in Engineering, Finance or Logistics disciplines</li><li>2-3 years experience in Importation, Customs Clearance, Planning or Logistics</li><li>Communication (written and verbal) and Inter-personal skills</li><li>Negotiation and stakeholder management skills</li><li>Great time management and Decision-making skills</li><li>Good understanding of basic Supply chain and importation principles</li><li>Experience within Planning and/or Logistics </li><li>English fluency, both written and verbal.</li><li>Computer literacy (Excellent knowledge of MS Office)<br></li></ul><strong>WE ARE BAT<br><br></strong>At BAT we are committed to our Purpose of creating A Better Tomorrow.
