Your future role &amp; Job Purpose:<p><br></p>We are looking to hire <strong>Events Management Specialist</strong><p><br></p>Who is responsible for monitoring of all contracted recreation and welfare events/services in accordance with the contract and who can manage and monitoring of Service Operators and/or in-house self-delivery teams to ensure compliance with the specifications and drive a regime of continual improvement.<p><br></p>Key Accountabilities:<p><br></p>The <strong>Events Management Specialist</strong>, will be responsible for but not limited to:<p><br></p><ul><li>Ensure that all Service Providers are complying in a meaningful fashion with all the sections, clauses and requirements of their contracts</li><li>Able to walk around a large site in hot weather and access difficult areas for inspection</li><li>Manual and physical dexterity needed to operate a computer keyboard with sufficient vision to read information appearing on computer display screen, in handwritten forms, and printed on paper</li><li>Adequate hearing and verbal abilities to communicate effectively in person and by telephone</li><li>Plan and organize annual community events as directed to foster and recognize cultural events for the residents.</li><li>Able to present confidently at all levels, any area of responsibility</li><li>Conduct audits and inspections in support of the Residential Facilities Manager</li><li>Attend management meetings when requested or required</li><li>Pro-active in the development and training of any direct reports</li><li>Nurture good working relationships with the Service Operator<br><br></li></ul> Who we are looking for:<p><br></p><ul><li>Qualification/s within the Leisure Sector – preferred</li><li>Demonstrate proficiency in the Microsoft Office environment including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook, essential<br><br></li></ul> Competencies (Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities):<p><br></p><ul><li>Good leadership and man-management skills</li><li>Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills and a positive attitude</li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Great multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail<br><br></li></ul> Experience:<p><br></p><ul><li>Requires minimum of 5 years within the hospitality industry</li><li>Experienced in organizing of outdoor/indoor sporting events/tournaments</li><li>Proven experience in managing teams<br><br></li></ul> About Application Process If you meet the criteria and you are enthusiastic about the role, we would welcome your application.
