ICT WAN Specialist Level 2
Job Description
• Design, configure, and deploy WAN solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices.
• Implement and manage WAN connectivity technologies such as MPLS, VPN, SD-WAN, and Internet circuits.
• Monitor and analyze network performance, utilization, and capacity to identify areas for improvement and optimize network performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues by conducting root cause analysis and implementing appropriate solutions.
• Troubleshoot IT and ICT hardware issues, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of network components, applications, and services.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
• Perform regular network audits and security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation actions.
• Implement and enforce network security policies, protocols, and access controls to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
• Stay updated on emerging network technologies, industry trends, and best practices to recommend innovative solutions for network optimization and scalability.
• Provide Level 2 technical support and troubleshooting for network-related incidents and service requests escalated from Level 1 support teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project requirements and deadlines.
• Prepare and deliver regular reports to management on network performance, service level agreements, and other key metrics.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of network hardware, software, and service providers.
• Participate in change management processes and perform network configuration changes as required.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies related to network infrastructure.
