****OCONUS – Kuwait*** US Citizenship Required****

The HVAC Helper/ Laborer is responsible for supporting/helping the installation and inspection, of industrial HVAC equipment such as chillers, and light commercial units. Will be cleaning duct, condensers, and dryer vents. This job requires theoretical knowledge of air conditioning as well as practical mechanical and electrical understanding.

RMS will be performing Base Operation Support (BOS-1) to the United States Armed Forces in Kuwait, as part of the AFCAP V Contract

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Operate & maintain all cleaning equipment
  • Completes cleaning and power washing of HVAC units
  • Ensures that all workspaces are maintained and cleaned
  • Access, remove & clean air distribution components and equipment
  • Supports/helps perform installations of HVAC equipment and systems.
  • Coordinates with HVAC Lead and/or Trade Shop Supervisor on completing projects and work orders efficiently.
  • Responds to emergency situations during or after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Alternate Site Management or Supervisor lead.
  • Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Must have at least three (3) years’ experience working with or around HVAC units

LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Driver’s License and be able to operate a vehicle with a manual transmission.
  • Must have a Valid US Passport.
  • Valid driver’s license CFC/HFC certification is desired.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Must be skilled in the use of hand and power tools common to trade
  • Knowledge of operation / installation of a complete HVAC systems / equipment preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements, including vaccination for COVID-19 as outlined in Paragraph 1.A. of the USCENTCOM JAN 22 MOD SIXTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL AND INDIVIDUAL-UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICY
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Kuwait
  • Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
  • Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.

TRAVEL: 100%, in deployed location.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must have and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
