HSE Officer
Job Description
<p>Ensure that projects comply with KCG, Government, Customer, health and safety regulations and standards by performing frequent health and safety checks on construction projects and operations.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Perform the assigned duties as per the set policies and procedures in order to achieve the HSSE department goals.</li><li>Execute the approved HSSE policies and procedures, plans and programs in the company.</li><li>Assist the HSSE Manager in developing KCG health and safety guidelines, policies and procedures.</li><li>Align with the latest health and safety techniques standards and accordingly recommends updating policies and procedures to the HSSE Manager.</li><li>Develop projects safety analyses or other project risk management methods to control high risk activities.</li><li>Identify potential hazardous conditions and practices in systems, equipment, facilities or processes to be used in projects and develop methods for managing such conditions in coordination with the HSSE Manager.</li><li>Conduct random health and safety checks on KCG projects to ensure compliance with KCG health and safety policies and guidelines based on the plans developed by the QA/QC/H&S Manager.</li><li>Evaluate the degree of which the projects set-up, planning and scheduling contribute to safe project execution.</li><li>Participate in the investigation of health and safety incidents and ensure effective investigation, analysis and reporting of all health and safety incidents.</li><li>Ensure incidents are reported to the concerned Project Manager, Area Manager if any and the Construction Manager indicating the recommended course of action.</li><li>Assist in the implementation measures to prevent recurrence of such incidents after coordination with the concerned Projects Managers.</li><li>Report non-compliance with KCG health and safety policies and guidelines to the HSSE Manager along with recommended rectification actions.</li><li>Develop the relevant health and safety reports including the incidents that occurred, the site in which the incidents occurred, the recorded time of the incident and the recommended course of action.</li><li>Apply and use the HSSE tools, forms, mechanisms needed to gather data and information.</li><li>Gather and compile data generated from field and inspection visits and discuss them with the concerned parties.</li><li>Evaluate project commitment to HSSE SOPs to ensure providing a safe work environment during the project execution.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering, or any related field.</li><li>4+ years of experience in a related field.</li><li>Previous experience in mega projects.</li><li>Fluent in English.</li></ul>
