<strong><u>Job Description</u></strong><p><br></p>Job Posting<p><br></p>Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented <strong>HSE Manager </strong>to join our team! In this role you will be responsible to monitor SH&amp;E activities supporting the overall SH&amp;E Program including, SH&amp;E audits, inspections, reviews, risk assessments and other SH&amp;E assessments.<p><br></p><strong><u>What You’ll Be Doing</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Implement Parsons wide policy and/or tools and be prepared to contribute to the development of company policy</li><li>Implement and maintain established SH&amp;E Management Plan &amp; Procedures to ensure the site work process are performed in compliance with approved SH&amp;E Management Plan &amp; Procedures</li><li>Develop strategy, management systems and key performance indicators to assess and monitor achievement of performance excellence.</li><li>Plan and execute a program for SH&amp;E training, motivation and further competency development for site personnel to ensure site SH&amp;E training programs are implemented.</li><li>Promote a SH&amp;E culture which is consistent with Parsons leadership ambitions and values and defining and implementing Site Specific SH&amp;E Program and Plans.</li><li>Oversees Parsons SH&amp;E policies and procedures and ensures they are maintained and updated in accordance with Parsons’ quality and recordkeeping requirements.</li><li>Guide, support and facilitate ownership, implementation and improvement of SH&amp;E requirements including workplace safety, personal safety, asset integrity and management of health, safety and environmental hazards.</li><li>Provide coaching and assistance to the Site team with regard to the implementation of Parsons SH&amp;E Standards, statutory requirements, industry standards, and best practice.</li><li>Ensures that good coordination of the SH&amp;E team with other Operations functions (Engineering, Construction, Contract Management, Procurement, etc.).</li><li>Train, mentor and supervise the SH&amp;E Officers assigned to each project.</li><li>Record all incidents, reporting details to Client as per approved arrangements</li><li>Support the incident investigation process to ensure that appropriate causal analysis undertaken and suitable corrective/preventive actions identified. contribute to Contractors’ investigations to understand the causes and influencing factors.</li><li>Ensure the compilation of SH&amp;E related lessons learned and dissemination across the Operations team and Contractors on a regular basis.</li><li>Assist and assure contractors’ compliance to SH&amp;E plan &amp; program</li><li>Review audit findings with the Contractors and support closure of action items.</li><li>Review all documentation related to SH&amp;E issues submitted by Contractors</li><li>Ensure monthly reports from contractors/suppliers provide the necessary information to Parsons on SH&amp;E matters for them to perform SH&amp;E reporting and analysis.</li><li>Provide Parsons, Client and local authorities with necessary reports related to Environment, Health &amp; Safety as required</li><li>Plan and perform site SH&amp;E inspections/audits and participate in leadership tours to identify, close-out and produce preventive actions for potential hazards</li><li>Manage Parsons site activities including Contractors to ensure they comply with approved PSHEP Management Plan &amp; Procedures</li><li>Coordinate and interface with other Departments within the Company, the Client and Contractors for all SH&amp;E related issues</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>What Required Skills You’ll Bring</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Health &amp; Safety/Environmental Management from Western Univeristy with 15 years demonstrable experience in SH&amp;E regulations, requirements for construction projects and awareness of all hazards likely to existing construction sites.</li><li>Minimum Graduate Membership of internationally recognized Safety Association e.g., NEBOSH, CSP etc.</li><li>Must demonstrate appropriate ongoing Continued Professional Development</li><li>Must possess leadership skills to manage and motivate a team of SH&amp;E officers.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>What Desired Skills You’ll Bring</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Must have the ability to lead HSE team at project, interface with client.</li><li>Proactive acumen and an ability to manage multiple working areas on site are essential.</li><li>Professional registration may also be required.</li><li>Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards.</li><li>Proven ability to perform in a management capacity.</li><li>Excellent communication skills</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Minimum Clearance Required To Start</u></strong><p><br></p>Not Applicable/None<p><br></p>Parsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
