Job Description
About the role:
We are hiring for one of our major projects in Abu Dhabi, and looking for certified HSE Engineers to join the site team.
As the HSE Engineer, you will be responsible for driving a collaborative culture of HSE across the project for the duration of all stages from inception to close-out.
Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, below:
- Development, implementation, and monitoring of HSEQ procedures and policies
- Leadership and/or managerial experience along with mentoring skills
- Coordinate incident investigations and reporting on outcomes
- Prepare and Implement a thorough audit program inclusive of ongoing construction
- Ensure that all non-conformances generated during an External/Internal audit are closed out
- Ability to deliver safety practices to ensure zero injuries, zero risk, and zero harm.
Safety, Health, and Environment
- Coordinate with MM Group on the implementation of HSE minimum requirements and procedures
- Ensure that Project Quality and HSE plans are effectively implemented through periodic site visits and audits
- Expert in carrying out HSE risk assessment & Environment aspect impact analysis for construction sites and offices
- Schedule regular and ad-hoc HSE audits; develop program audits within the organization
- Produce, develop and deliver the Project HSEQ training and HSEQ orientation
- Monitor environmental control activities including waste minimisation, and drive sustainability initiatives
Quality
- Preparation and implementation of Quality Control procedures
- Coordinate periodic audits of the Quality Control system and identify non-conformances
- Set up and maintain the Quality Control records tracking system in conjunction with the Quality
- personnel and ensure records of all inspections are maintained as well as non-compliant items
- Quality Assurance maintained simultaneously on various contractors
Candidate SpecificationCandidate specifications:
- Experience in Health & Safety field
- Demonstrable experience working on site and directing contractors and engineers
- Relevant work experience as an Engineer accompanied by EHS related Master’s degree; Bachelor’s degree; NEBOSH Diploma; or
- OSHAD – OSHMS Practitioner A Grade B and lead auditor qualification 14001, 18001 & 45001 etc. is preferable but not mandatory
- Technically sound in SHEQ practices including P&ID, HAZOP, SIL etc
- Ability to prepare, write and make presentations and reports
