Job Title: HSE Engineer

Location: Dubai

Job Description:

The HSE Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that the workplace is safe and healthy for all employees and visitors, and that the company is in compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. They will develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs, and provide technical support and guidance to managers and employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local and international regulations and best practices
  • Conduct regular HSE audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and potential risks, and make recommendations for mitigation measures
  • Provide technical support and guidance to managers and employees on HSE matters, including hazard identification and risk assessment, incident investigation and reporting, and emergency response procedures
  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs to employees and contractors
  • Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics, and develop strategies for continuous improvement
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSE records and documentation
  • Conduct investigations of accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with relevant regulatory agencies and other stakeholders
  • Keep up-to-date with developments in HSE regulations and best practices, and make recommendations for changes to policies and procedures as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • At least 7 years of experience in a similar HSE role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and best practices
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
