Overview

A major integrated energy and chemicals companies is seeking a lead for its HR Strategy program.  This critical role will advise management on global HR best practices and make recommendations for adoption.  Key focus areas include:

  • HR Strategy Development & Execution – collaborate with HR departments to ensure that the HR Business Plan and initiatives are aligned with the HR Strategy and adapt to changes in the business environment.
  • HR Capability Building – develop the professional and leadership capabilities of the HR organization (Corporate and embedded) in order to deliver the HR Strategy.  This includes the identification and development of talent, with the objective of strengthening the talent pipeline.
  • HR Engagement & Communications – manage communications and engagement with key stakeholders, primarily the company’s young talent groups and HR Business Partner community.
  • HR Succession Planning & Leadership Talent Management – work with HR department heads to challenge their thinking on succession planning and strengthen individual development plans of high potential leadership talent.

Key Responsibilities

  • HR Strategy Execution – in conjunction with HR Departments and HR Business Partners, ensure delivery of the HR Strategy in order to optimize HR’s value to the company. 
  • HR Professional Qualifications Curriculum – oversee the development of HR professionals, to include targeted assessments, courses, and professional qualification programs. 
  • HR Metrics – collaborate with HR Business Partners and others to further strengthen the scorecard of key HR metrics.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology or Business/Management; advanced degree(s) preferred.
  • At least 10 years’ progressive Human Resources experience.
  • A proven successful track record of performing similar roles within large, complex, international and multi-cultural organizations; ideally with exposure to the Middle East.
