Job Description
Room Attendant Duties:
o Clean, replenish, maintain and prepare guests rooms as per each Hotels standard
o Use and maintain all chemicals, supplies and equipment carefully and as per each Hotels standard
o Vacuum and mop floors, clean/disinfect guest bathrooms to a high standard and make guests beds daily/change bedding as required
o Replace towels, soaps and other guest room amenities
o Shampoo carpets and upholstered furniture
o Empty hotel room garbage bins daily
o Move and position cleaning trolley in the guest corridor as per each Hotels standard ensuring a safe and hazard free area
o Carry out and complete daily task control sheet as per each Hotels standard/undertake the sequence of service to clean a Hotel room
o Ensure the complete number of Credits to clean rooms per day is completed as per each Hotels standard
o Report all malfunctioning tools, incidents and guest room issues to the Supervisor on duty
o Report all lost and found objects as per each Hotels standard
o Report any unusual guest behaviors or activities as per each Hotels standard
Public Area Cleaning Duties:
o Sweep and mop public area floors, clean/disinfect public area bathrooms to a high standard
o Empty garbage bins from the public areas daily & restock all cleaning supplies as required
o Cleaning of all public areas such as windows, corridors, lobby areas, public bathrooms, stairwells, pool areas, and all indoor and outdoor areas
o Carry our any other duties as instructed by the shift Supervisor/senior
Laundry Attendant Duties:
o Sort through linen and treat stains
o Load all laundry into washer and add specified cleaning agents
o Handle and store chemicals in line with hotel regulations and any local legislative requirements
o Load and unload the washing machines, dryers and dry-cleaning machine with the given capacity of the machines. Record the loads produced on daily basis.
o To ensure that proper chemicals and formulas are applied during the cleaning process.
o Responsible to do washing, drying, pressing, folding, stacking, dry cleaning, finishing, pick-up and delivery, sorting, marking, packing for the guest laundry as well as the hotel linen items.
o Keep daily records of pick-up and delivery for all items that come through the Laundry department
o Record room numbers in the delivery book where all hanger items are also to be recorded.

Chemical and Housekeeping machinery knowledge and experience
Safe manual handling techniques
Solid understanding of both the company/client policies and procedures
Occupational Health & Safety Card (UAE accreditation)
Understanding of the Occupational Health & Safety Legislation and Standards in the UAE
