Job Summary
Our Client is a Catering & Support Services company based in Abu Dhabi.
Scope and general purpose:
To maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction by maintaining superior standards in proper lay out, arranging buffets/banquets and providing pleasing service. To project the professional approach of the establishment in a pleasing and most acceptable manner.
Main responsibilities of a Head Waiter are:
• To ensure that waiters are clean and well-groomed when they report for duty and that they report on time.
• To ensure that cleanliness in the restaurant/mess is maintained to the highest standards.
• To ensure that all furniture fittings and fixtures are cleaned/polished on a regular basis.
• To ensure that the staff are fully competent in their duties, and to conduct on the job training to constantly upgrade their skills.
• To ensure that his staff are trained and competent, regardless of whether this type of service is provided or not.
• To ensure that his staff are capable of laying tables for simple service or VIP banquet service.
• To ensure that all silverware and glassware is free of spots/marks/stains before being set on the table.
• To ensure that all table linen is spotless before tables are set.
• To supervise staff during service, and ensure that residents/guests orders are correctly noted, that service is prompt, and that food plates are hot when served.
• To ensure that residents/guests are received and escorted to their tables and that his staff are courteous at all times.
• To ensure that buffets are attractively displayed, that items are not missing and there are adequate plates, dishes and serving utensils.
• To ensure that empty buffets dishes are promptly replenished.
• To ensure that his staff are briefed, prior to each meal, on the menu and any special requirements.
• To liaise with the chef on the menu and promote the Chef’s Special where applicable.
• To report any maintenance problems, and ensure they are attended to promptly.
• To order supplies and materials for the restaurant, mess, and ensure safe custody and issues.
• To maintain up to date records, and where applicable, ensure that cash and receipts are handled in a safe and proper manner.
• Where applicable, ensure that residents/guests bills are correct before presentation for payment.
Educational qualifications:
• A diploma in Hotel Management or trade certificate in Restaurant & Counter Service/High School Certificate
• EFST Certificate
Professional experience:
• Must have Experience as a Headwaiter in a 4-5 Star Hotel /Industrial Catering. Must have previous banqueting experience
– Food and Accommodation provided by company
– 2 Years Renewable Contract
– All candidates must be willing to work Remote camps/Outside city
– No Overtime provision available
– Salary AED 1500 TO 1800
