<p>We are excited to introduce the new role of Head of Swimming based at British International School Abu Dhabi starting in August 23. Absolute Swimming require a passionate and experienced aquatics professional to manage a fully integrated swimming programme at BIS AD.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>ROLES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES </p><p><br></p><p>As Head of Swimming, your primary responsibility will be to work in partnership with the school and Absolute Swimming to design and implement a comprehensive swimming program. </p><p><br></p><p>Your specific duties will include: </p><p>1. Lead and plan the coaching of Team Falcons Swim Squad during both before-school and after-school training sessions. </p><p>2. Lead and plan swimming meets for Team Falcon Swim Squads including entries, selection and communication with parents. </p><p>3. Planning and delivering safe and effective swim lessons for students of all ages and skill levels, both during school hours and in Absolute Swimming’s afterschool program. </p><p>4. Monitoring and evaluating student progress, making adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal learning outcomes. </p><p>5. Regularly communicating with parents, school administrators, and other relevant stakeholders to provide updates on the swim program and student progress. </p><p>6. Working with the Head of Absolute Swimming &amp; Swim Stars Manager to develop a comprehensive afterschool swimming program that meets the needs of the local community. </p><p>7. Serving as the public face of Absolute Swimming, representing the organization in a positive and professional manner when interacting with students, parents, and school staff. </p><p>8. Creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for students, families, and staff members</p><p><br></p><p>WORKING HOURS </p><p>The working hours for this role will be dependent on the school timetable, with the typical work schedule consisting of Monday to Friday, along with a weekend morning shift. A typical workday will conclude no later than 6pm, with an early finish on Fridays no later than 4pm. The workload will be split between curriculum teaching, after-school teaching, and administrative duties, amounting to approximately 40 hours per week </p><p><br></p><p>ABOUT YOU </p><p>We are seeking an individual who can represent Absolute Swimming in a friendly, professional manner and has the confidence to deliver high-quality swimming programme.</p><p> • At least 3 years’ experience in teaching and coaching swimming ideally with experience in a school setting.</p><p> • At least 1 years experience of coordination and administration of a venue. </p><p>• Valid international driving license that can be converted to UAE. </p><p>• Able to communicate effectively in English through writing and speaking. </p><p>• Swim England Level 2 swimming teachers qualification or international equivalent </p><p>• Swim England Coaches qualification or international equivalent</p>
