Head of sales – Full Time – Casablanca, Morocco

Join our Services_EMEA team within Services division in Morocco as Head of sales to help us take our business development to the next level.

Main purpose of the job is development and implementation of growth plans in line with the regional strategy. The person will be responsible for maximising Sulzer’s service capabilities in the country including: pumps, turbines, compressors repairs, parts, duplicates and retrofit .

Main job responsobilities are:

  • Manage the existing business and clients portfolio (installed base).
  • Liaising with relevant departments of the company and, most specifically with operations team, to develop the bidding strategy for each project.
  • Develop repairs business of non-Sulzer pumps opportunities.
  • Develop Steam Turbine and Compressor service businesses.
  • Establish country level service/maintenance contract with main clients from Energy, O&G and Power in Industry.
  • Develop and implement action plans to grow:
  • retrofit business in the country;
  • wider rotating equipment products – pumps, compressors, steam turbines and electrical motors. Further responsible for assisting in the development of Sulzer’s gas turbine business.
  • Manage, motivate, coach and develop the Regional PRN EMEA Sales Force and agents, set ambitious targets and hold regular reviews.
  • Responsibility for budget setting, forecasting and monthly reporting.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline or similar.
  • Post-graduate training in a mechanical engineering OEM and preferably (although not essential) in the centrifugal pump industry or rotating equipment.
  • Solid background of sales management (minimum 5 years) in an engineering services fast moving and growing environment.
  • Strong people management experience (minimum 3 years) & leadership skills, evidence of setting up a successful team.
  • Experience in setting up new business opportunities.
  • Experience in international companies and matrix organisation.
  • Fluent English & French, arabic speaking is preffered.
