<p><strong>JOB PURPOSE -</strong></p><p>He/she is responsible for formulating strategies, devising plans, and assuming leadership of the Technical Center to ensure the provision of quality control, quality assurance, quality excellence, product development, research and development, innovation, food safety, and hygiene services to all units. The primary objective is to safeguard the safety and quality of all products for both internal and external customers.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ACCOUNTABILITY -</strong></p><ul><li>The individual will be responsible for planning and strategizing the role of the Technical Center to meet the expectations of various stakeholders, including, top management, internal and external customers, and regulatory authorities. Their objective is to align organizational business objectives with the Business Plan.</li><li>They will drive Quality Excellence by implementing regular internal and external audits to ensure the maintenance and improvement of Integrated Management Systems (IMS).</li><li>Leading the product development process, they will collaborate with sales and marketing teams and encourage staff to generate new product ideas. Their aim is to enhance the range and quality of products in accordance with strategic initiatives and customer requirements.</li><li>They will ensure the implementation of an effective plan for providing basic food hygiene systems and training to all food handlers within all business units. Additionally, they will oversee internal and external food hygiene audits to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.</li><li>The individual will actively participate in the customer complaints process, ensuring that the Technical Center team thoroughly investigates and promptly responds to any quality complaints to achieve customer satisfaction. This may involve visiting customers’ facilities, accompanying the sales team on customer visits, and fostering partnerships with Key Accounts.</li><li>They will lead and manage their direct reports, promoting interdepartmental communication and allocating priorities and resources as necessary. Encouraging a collaborative work environment, they will provide regular coaching and feedback to their team regarding individual and collective performance.</li><li>They will be accountable for ensuring continuous learning and the professional development of the Quality team, keeping them updated on evolving regulatory requirements and key customer demands related to product quality and food safety.</li><li>They will be responsible for building the Quality team for future projects , including Poultry, Starch, and Liquid eggs. This may involve establishing a Quality Assurance and Quality Control lab at the Poultry processing unit and Starch units.</li><li>They will set the annual strategy, develop budgets, and establish KPI targets for all functions within the Technical Center. Delegating and empowering their direct reports, they will work towards achieving these annual targets.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Educational Qualifications: </strong></p><p>Bachelor’s Degree in food technology or Science</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Relevant Experience:</strong></p><p>Minimum 8-10 years previous experience at managerial level in a multi-dimensional role in food processing, quality assurance & research related activities</p>
