With a competitive coverage of Trading Houses, Producers, Majors, Utilities, Merchants, Hedge Funds, Investment Banks and Brokerages; Redstone Commodity Search can confidently offer you an edge in today’s volatile market.</p><p><br></p><p>Redstone Commodity Search are working with a major metals producer looking to hire a Metallurgical Team Lead to join their headquarters in the Middle East.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities / Tasks</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Manage the team and improve standards of metallurgical / metallography department, ensuring a greater understanding of the micro/macro-structure, process and properties within aluminium products (billets, rolling slabs, wire rod, foundry alloys)</li><li>Interfacing with production teams, effectively engage with internal departments such as Marketing, Casthouse, Sales, Technical Customer Support</li><li>Have oversight on trials to assess outcomes through detailed technical reports</li><li>Responsible for identifying and capitalising on opportunities to improve quality of aluminium products</li><li>Control and manage research and development (R&D) projects</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><span class=”ql-cursor”> </span>Key Qualifications / Experience</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Strong experience working as a metallurgist / process engineer (or in the field of metallurgy) for an aluminium producer – ideally expertise with one or more of billets, slabs, rod, foundry alloys etc.</li><li>Hold Bachelor or Master’s degree in Metallurgy or Materials Science, with experience working within Europe</li><li>Excellent understanding of applications and markets for aluminium value-added products</li><li>Experience with R&D projects as well as product development</li><li>Position based in Middle East</li></ul>
