Job Description

The Head of Faculty Affairs is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the academic institution’s faculty policies and procedures, academic personnel actions, and faculty development programs. S/He will work closely with the senior leadership team, department chairs, and faculty to create and maintain a positive, productive, and supportive work environment for faculty.<p><br></p><ul><li> Develop, implement, and manage policies and procedures related to faculty affairs, including hiring, promotion, and tenure processes. </li><li> Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure faculty are properly supported and trained for their academic roles. </li><li> Provide advice and guidance to department chairs and faculty on academic personnel actions, such as appointments, promotions, and terminations. </li><li> Oversee the development and implementation of faculty development programs, including training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities. </li><li> Manage the annual faculty evaluation process and ensure its compliance with institutional policies and procedures. </li><li> Represent the institution in negotiations with faculty unions and other stakeholders. </li><li> Foster a positive and supportive work environment for faculty and promote a culture of collaboration and innovation.</li></ul>
