Job Description
<ul><li>The job holder is responsible for the identification and implementation of organic and inorganic growth opportunities through the acquisition of new pharmaceutical / life sciences portfolios that are aligned with the growth strategy of the business. He / She will support the company with research and market intelligence to fine-tune the organization’s growth strategy and adjust it to changing market trends and ad hoc opportunities.</li></ul><p><strong>Business Intelligence and Planning<br><br></strong></p><ul><li>Stay informed about the latest market and industry trends locally and globally and its implications on the company’s growth strategy.</li><li>Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on global and regional trends within the company’s industry.</li><li>Present to and consult with internal and external stakeholders on business trends.</li><li>Support the formulation of the company’s strategic growth plan and facilitate business enhancing decisions.</li><li>Ensure alignment of AEC business unit strategies with the overall company objectives and priorities.</li></ul><p><strong>Business Development <br><br></strong></p><ul><li>Attend local and global industry functions, association events, conferences, etc. to stay informed about the latest market and industry trends and identify new business opportunities.</li><li>Represent the company at local and international industry events and enhance its brand reputation.</li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders such as regulators, manufacturers, key opinion leaders, etc.</li><li>Assess and identify business development opportunities from the company’s existing brands and / or business partners and formulate action plans to attract and execute the same.</li><li>Identify, assess, and attract new business partners with products, brands, or entire portfolios that are aligned with the strategic growth plans of the company.</li><li>Prepare business cases including detailed market entry plans and financial projections for selected opportunities.</li><li>Negotiate contractual terms with new business partners.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>University Degree / Diploma in Pharmacy or a related scientific specialty</li><li>Post-Graduate in Marketing / Business Administration is desirable<br><br></li></ul><strong>Additional Information<br><br></strong><ul><li>10-15 years’ experience in commercial roles in the Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences Industry.</li><li>Well-established network within the UAE / regional pharmaceutical industry.</li><li>Business development experience is an advantage.</li><li>Strong financial and commercial acumen.</li><li>Excellent communication and negotiation skills.</li><li>Fluency in spoken and written English.</li></ul>
