Job Summary

Our Client is looking for an experienced Head Chef Kitchen who will be responsible for managing and overseeing the kitchen operations of one of our top class cake & pastry outlet.

You will lead a team of chefs and cooks to ensure the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes that meet the Outlet’s standards. You will also be responsible for maintaining inventory levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring food safety and sanitation practices are followed.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Develop and execute menus that are innovative and aligned with the Outlet’s concept and target market.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of all dishes and ensure that they meet the Outlet’s standards for taste, quality, and presentation.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure that all necessary ingredients and supplies are available for daily operations.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure that it is functioning correctly and maintained in accordance with safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and ensure that food safety and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
  • Collaborate with Manager to develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies to increase revenue and customer engagement.
  • Create and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality ingredients and supplies.
  • Monitor and control food costs and ensure that the kitchen operates within budget.
  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, including the proper handling and storage of food.

     

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience:
 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or a related field
  • At least 4 – 5 years of experience as a head chef or in a similar leadership role in a top- class Cake & pastry outlet preferably within Doha or GCC.
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure
  • Knowledge of inventory management, ordering, and food cost control
  • Excellent time management and organizational skillsr
  • Certification in food safety and sanitation is preferred
