About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Guest Services Executive to join our amazing Front Office team in Jumeirah Living Marina Gate. The main purpose of the role is to provide proactive, professional, and efficient guest service ensuring maximum guest satisfaction in a manner consistent with Front Office standards. 

The main duties and responsibilities of this role are to:

  • Give a warm welcome to guests on arrival and register them as well as issuing room keys in the appropriate welcome booklet.
  • Take payment from guests on departure and close their bills correctly.
  • Lobby Presence and guest escort via buggy or on foot to their rooms
  • Serve welcome towels and drinks to arriving guests.
  • Prepare amenities for arrivals and guest in house.
  • Provide personalized check in to all VIP guests.
  • Updates and maintains all guests’ profiles history files accurately.
  • Be efficient in assisting guests throughout their stay with any requirements.
  • Sell rooms to walk-in guests at the maximum rate possible.
  • Ensures that the reception desk is manned, operationally prepared, and stocked at all times.
  • Maintains the privacy of all guests by ensuring that no details of the guests are disclosed to anybody following the security procedures.
  • Displays high product knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel.
  • Report for duty on time and wearing the correct uniform.
  • Overlooking the Reception Email Inbox and the efficient and timely communication of the same.
  • Act as Concierge, assisting in giving advice, helping to make restaurant reservations, arrange transportation, etc.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Secondary School Certificate
  • At least 1 year of reception experience preferably within the international luxury hospitality industry.
  • Previous Front Office Experience.
  • Previous Experience in Opera PMS.
  • Very good command of speaking, reading, and writing English language.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to multitask & work well under pressure
  • Additional language would be of advantage: Arabic, Russian, Mandarin or European language
