Job Description
Executive Responsibility
• Assist senior project managers and site engineers in planning, organizing, and executing construction projects from inception to completion.
• Support the management team in achieving project objectives, meeting quality standards, and adhering to safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project progression.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of project strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Pre-contract Roles
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents, including quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and technical specifications.
• Conduct site visits and surveys to gather relevant information for project planning and design.
• Collaborate with the design team to review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Assist in the evaluation of subcontractor bids and proposals, and contribute to the selection process.
• Support the preparation of project schedules, resource allocation plans, and procurement schedules.
Site Roles
• Coordinate and monitor daily site activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Assist in the supervision of construction works, subcontractors, and laborers to ensure quality, efficiency, and adherence to schedules.
• Perform regular inspections to identify and address any construction issues, quality concerns, or safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, logs, reports, and progress records.
• Collaborate with project managers to track project costs, analyze variances, and propose cost-effective solutions.
• Resolve technical queries, design issues, and conflicts on-site, in coordination with the project team.
• Liaise with project manager on a daily basis to discuss progress, procurement, safety.
Procedures
• Adhere to the company’s project management procedures, guidelines, and quality control protocols.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
• Promote a culture of safety on-site and participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions.
• Implement effective environmental management practices to minimize the project’s impact on the surroundings.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on processes, technologies, and methodologies.
