The company was founded on May 29, 1933 and is headquartered in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.</p> <p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p> <p>The Operational Excellence & Compliance Division within Drilling and Workover (D&WO) is actively seeking a qualified individual to take on the role of leading and overseeing all environmental activities within the organization. This position includes responsibilities related to industrial hygiene, environmental health, radiation protection, marine biology, water treatment, ambient air quality protection, meteorology, oceanography, solid and hazardous waste management, groundwater and wastewater monitoring, surface water hydrology, water conservation, environmental law, environmental compliance, and environmental awareness. The main objective is to ensure strict adherence to both government and corporate environmental regulations and standards. Additionally, in cases where the organization holds a Radiation Practice License, the candidate will serve as the focal point for managing Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM).</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Implementing the corporate environmental policy and ensuring compliance with Company and National environmental regulations, standards, procedures, and guidelines.</li> <li>Staying informed about This Company’s environmental, environmental health, and industrial hygiene programs.</li> <li>Supervising and coordinating local surveys and sampling, interpreting measurement results, and reviewing environmental aspects of contract documents.</li> <li>Monitoring the environmental performance of contractor operations and responding to concerns and requests for information from EPD (Environmental Protection Department).</li> <li>Seeking technical advice from EPD as needed and providing regular input to management on environmental and health performance indicators.</li> <li>Identifying, analyzing, and managing environmental risks resulting from business operations.</li> <li>Organizing and participating in major surveys such as Environmental Performance Assessments (EPAs), Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM) surveys, Occupational Health Hazard Assessments (OHHAs), HAZCOM Assessments, Chemical Handling Assessments, Waste Management Compliance Audits, and Environmental Health surveys.</li> <li>Actively working to resolve any findings from these surveys and providing follow-up information and updates to EPD.</li> <li>Coordinating all Environmental Management System (EMS)-related activities within the organization, including developing environmental objectives and indicators, tracking performance and costs, and handling record-keeping and reporting functions.</li><br></ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.</strong></li> <li>Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Environment or related fields such as Chemistry, Biology, or Civil Engineering with relevant Environment-related experience. Alternatively, an MSc in Environment.</li> <li>Over 10 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry with a focus on environment-related matters.</li> <li>Experience in managing projects/tasks related to waste management, water conservation, and energy efficiency.</li> <li>Either possess EMS ISO:14001 certification or have experience in leading/conducting EMS audits and other environment-related audits.</li> <li>Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.</li> <li>Ability to prepare and present environmental reports and presentations effectively.</li></ul>
