  • Site assessments to determine the geologic conditions of a location. They analyze rock and soil samples, conduct geophysical surveys, and use other tools and techniques to identify the composition and characteristics of the soil and rock formations at the site.
  • Assess geological hazards, such as landslides, earthquakes, and volcanic activity, to ensure that engineering projects are safe and sustainable. They use their knowledge of geology to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Environmental impact of engineering projects and develop plans to minimize negative effects on the environment. They may evaluate the potential for soil and water contamination, assess the impact on ecosystems and wildlife, and develop plans to remediate any negative effects.
  • Geological properties of a site to develop engineering plans and designs that are optimized for the site conditions. They may work with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure that the design of a project is safe, efficient, and effective.
  • Oversee the implementation of engineering projects and ensure that they are completed on time and within budget. They may also supervise other engineers and technicians and provide guidance and support throughout the project.
  • Geologist Engineer who can go to sites and take all the data required to make a report explaining everything about flow rate, type of soil and water etc​
