All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or protected veteran status and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability.</em><p><br></p>We are seeking a qualified <strong>Field Engineering Technician </strong>to join our team in support of testing, integration, training, and maintenance support for our Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (AISR) Data Transport – Block II Tactical Relay program in <strong>Djibouti, Africa.</strong><p><br></p>The qualified candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, operating, and training within the Block II Tactical Relay family of systems. Core competencies for this position shall include extensive knowledge in Satellite Modems, Redundancy Switches, associated cables, and interconnects; Up Converters, Down Converters, High Power Amplifiers (HPAs), Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs), Low Noise Block (LNB); Waveguide (rigid, flex, and elliptical) joints and connections; Intermediate Frequency (IF) cable and connections; Antenna, Antenna motors, Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA), Antenna Control Unit (ACU), and associated cabling and interconnects, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Units (if applicable), and Generator (if applicable).<p><br></p>**This position is full-time deployed in an austere environment. **<p><br></p><strong>Requirements</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Must be a United States Citizen.</li><li>Must have a valid passport issued by the United States.</li><li>Must be able to pass the USAFRICOM medical screening requirements for the deployment to the USAFRICOM AOR.</li><li>4+ years of pertinent Satellite system operations experience required. </li><li>Must be able to communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required.</li><li>Ability to work effectively with Employees and Management of all levels, to include multi-national staff, superiors, and ranking Military Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs).</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in routing and switching required. (Cisco CCNA certification preferred but not required)</li><li>Working knowledge of IT systems administration required. </li><li>Experience with Satellite access techniques such as Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) and Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) required.</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency with RF signal flow and fault isolation required. </li><li>Working understanding and ability to speak intelligently regarding US Military satellite communications systems, procedures, and practices to include the provisioning of space segment, and gateway operations required.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Deploy, monitor, and maintain customer systems globally as needed.</li><li> Assist in maintaining inventory of customer assigned equipment worldwide.</li><li> Conduct fault detection, isolation, and correction of hardware systems and individual component.</li><li> Provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel.</li><li> Actively seek program/system deficiencies to provide input on methods for the improvement of internal processes.</li><li> Prepare required technical documentation support for, but not limited to technical management plans, status reports, troubleshooting aids, etc.</li><li> Follow established workflows for software, document, and process updates.</li><li>Maintain proactive analysis and preventative maintenance of customer VSAT, Voice, Video and network systems worldwide to include hardware configurations; adding, removing, and replacing hardware components; use of hardware and software diagnostic tools; cable infrastructure installation and maintenance; and software upgrades and maintenance.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Personnel Clearance Level:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Possess an active DoD issued Top Secret security clearance.
