We are seeking a talented and driven Fundraising and Program Manager to join in a part-time/freelance capacity, with a primary focus on proposal writing and report writing responsibilities. </p><p>The role has the potential to evolve into a full-time position, with added program management responsibilities in the future. German language skills are a plus.</p><p>If you are passionate about professional, independent journalism and have the required skills and experience for this role, I invite you to apply and become part of an ambitious and dynamic team with a mission to make a difference through unbiased reporting and impactful fact-checking.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position:</strong> Fundraising and Program Manager- Part-time / freelance.</p><p><strong>Location</strong>: Remote -open to candidates anywhere in the world.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Role Overview:</strong></p><p><br></p><p><span>As the Fundraising and Program Manager, your </span><span>exceptional writing capabilities and proficiency in data analysis</span><span> will play a crucial role in securing and maintaining funding relationships to support our organization’s initiatives.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>Your primary responsibilities will revolve around crafting compelling proposals and reports, which are essential for showcasing the impact and importance of our programs to potential donors.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>In addition, you will also engage in periodic Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) activities to assess the effectiveness of our programs, and monitoring funders’ mapping, and update it as we progress.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>While program management skills are valuable, the core focus initially will be on your excellent writing capabilities and proficiency in data analysis.</span></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Accountabilities:</strong></p><ol><li><strong>Proposal Writing</strong>: Develop high-quality funding proposals that effectively communicate the organization’s objectives, strategies, and impact to potential donors.</li><li><strong>Report Writing:</strong> Produce detailed, clear and engaging reports, showcasing project outputs and outcomes/results, for submission to existing funders.</li><li><strong>Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E):</strong> Assist in periodic M&E activities to assess project performance and identify areas for improvement.</li><li><strong>Funders’ Mapping and Cultivation:</strong></li><li>Monitor and update the database of funding sources, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.</li><li>Building and maintaining strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and philanthropic organizations to foster ongoing support.</li><li><strong>Program Management (Potential Future Responsibility):</strong> As the role evolves, take on program management responsibilities, coordinating project activities and ensuring their successful implementation.</li></ol><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications and Skills:</strong></p><ol><li><strong>Excellent Communication in English:</strong> Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare compelling proposals and engaging reports.</li><li>Proficiency in Arabic is essential for effectively engaging with stakeholders across diverse regions and for analyzing content proficiently.</li><li>Proficiency in German is a plus, though not mandatory.</li><li><strong>Analytical Skills:</strong> Proficiency in evaluating and interpreting data to measure program success, identify areas for improvement and transform complex data into a compelling narrative and actionable insights.</li><li><strong>Fundraising Experience (desirable, but not a deal breaker):</strong> Demonstrated ability to build and nurture relationships with donors, sponsors, and stakeholders to secure financial support, preferably within the nonprofit sector or journalism industry.</li><li><strong>Program Management (desirable, but not a deal breaker):</strong> Experience in designing and implementing impactful programs, measuring their outcomes, and adjusting strategies accordingly.</li></ol><p><br></p><p><strong>To apply, please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and why you believe you are the best fit for this position to Shadi@cocatalyze.ca.</strong></p>
