Freelance CNC Plasma Programmer

Job Description

<p>We are looking for a freelance CNC plasma programmer to work on various projects for our company. You will be creating and optimizing programs for our CNC plasma cutting machines, using various software tools and technical drawings.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Read and interpret blueprints, design models, and specifications to determine the best cutting parameters and sequences</li><li>Use nesting software to program jobs on plasma tables and maximize material utilization</li><li>Choose and load the correct cutting tools and consumables for the job</li><li>Monitor and troubleshoot the machine performance and quality of the output</li><li>Maintain and update the program library and documentation</li><li>Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and operators to ensure optimal production efficiency and quality</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Minimum 3 years of experience as a CNC plasma programmer or similar role</li><li>Proficient in using CAD/CAM software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SigmaNEST, etc.</li><li>Knowledge of CNC plasma machine operation, maintenance, and safety procedures</li><li>Ability to read and understand technical drawings and instructions</li><li>Attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Good communication and teamwork skills</li><li>Availability to work remotely and on flexible hours</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p><ul><li>Pay per project based on complexity and duration</li><li>No benefits or insurance provided</li></ul><p><br></p>
