Job Description
Synopsis
Responsible to monitor, track and report to Crew Operations Supervisor on any operational issues affecting the Crew Briefing with procedures and corrective actions where necessary.
Accountabilities
- Responsible for the day to day maintenance of crew Kiosks.
- Responsible to load up all printers with paper and toners as required.
- Responsible to maintain a supply of baggage tags, receipt slips and A4 papers for briefing sheets at the KIOSK printers.
- Ensures that an adequate number of manual baggage tags are available should the Kiosk Check-in terminals fail.
- Ensure that the briefing rooms are kept clean; the equipment is functional and always ready for use.
- Prints and distributes pre-flight documentation to Etihad Airways and Partner Airlines crew departing from Abu Dhabi, 2.5 hours prior to scheduled departure time of the aircraft. Prints and distributes flight plans for crew transiting in Abu Dhabi.
- Responsible for preparing flight briefing documentation for flight crew members.
- Responsible to ensure that General Declarations (GenDecs) are printed correctly for all flights.
- Print/Re-print All Gen Dec’s for Cabin Crew Operations
- Responsible for ensuring that when there is a CBC / Kiosk system failure, the appropriate mail boxes have the required documentation for the affected flights.
- Collects post-flight documentation returned by flight crew every day. Record and track the missing post Flight Documents Return Bag and report to Fleet Managers on weekly basis.
- Responsible to ensure that post flight documentation is sorted, recorded and stored according to established procedures.
- Retrieve any post-flight documentation in relation to queries and requests received from Fleet managers, Air Safety department, Finance department or any head office department in a competent and timely manner.
- Sorting of discretion reports and Flight dispatch feedback forms returned by Pilots and forward them to concerned department on regular basis. Submit Training Flight report returned by pilots to Senior Manager Pilot Ground Training.
- Track any changes in distributed pre-flight documents as sent from Flight dispatch. Ensure the flight crew receive the latest updated version. Maintain constant communication with Hub Control Centre and Duty Flight Dispatcher to record all the changes and amendments performed on Flight plans and distribute amended Flight Plans to the assigned Pilots on duty promptly.
- Investigate and report operational discrepancies to propose corrective measures to the Change to Crew Operations Supervisor (COS) and independently respond to internal and external departments where the involvement of the line manager is not necessary in logistic matters.
- Maintain proper hand over from shift to shift to regulate the operations efficiently. Coordinate with Crew Operations Supervisor that the Flight Information Desk is manned 24/7 to disseminate the flight plans to all Etihad Airways and partner airlines crew transiting and departing from AUH.
- Regular facility management checks of all briefing rooms and operational areas and escalate if necessary.
- Coordinate with partner airlines transportation upon their arrivals in the facility.
Education & Experience
- Diploma/high school education
- Proficiency in MS office
- Experience is preferred not required
