Job Description
The Fleet Operations & Planning Manager reports to the Head of CAMSS and provides effective leadership for the development, management and delivery of all Fleet Planning activities.<p><br></p>The post holder should also be able to lead and manage a skilled and knowledgeable workforce, for the purpose of developing and delivering Fleet Planning at Strategic and Tactical levels, whilst maximising operational efficiency.<p><br></p><strong><u>Core Activity</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Manage the development, production and delivery of Strategic Fleet Plans and fleet scenario/options modelling to inform strategic decision-making and determine the operational prioritisation for the Typhoon fleet </li><li> Manage the development, production and delivery of agreed and authorised Tactical Fleet plans for the Typhoon fleet, including all scheduled maintenance events, both on & off aircraft </li><li> Manage the planning of aircraft into maintenance to ensure compliance with the Operator Maintenance Programme, Mandatory requirements, applicable technical data and capability embodiment programmes. Maintain oversight of both the development of the Statement of Work (SoW) and creation of the maintenance work packs </li><li> At a strategic level, manage the Fleet Planning interface with the Customer, Maintenance Tasking & Verification team, Part 145 organisation, and all other key stakeholders, in order to deliver the required standards of Continuing Airworthiness and contract delivery </li><li> In conjunction with key stakeholders, lead and develop the effectiveness of the SoW, Pre-Input and Post-Output Review Meeting (PIRM & PORM) processes and workscope completion achieved during maintenance events, across all responsible maintenance locations, both on & off aircraft. Ensure escalated issues are assessed, effective solutions generated and monitored, or sponsor escalation to senior management, as appropriate </li><li> Manage changes in the Customer’s requirements, as they affect the fleet and maintenance plans, e.g. Fatigue Life limits, Capability upgrades, Customer-approved modification programmes, etc. </li><li> Ensuring that all Fleet Planning activities are appropriately documented and the appropriate airworthiness records are maintained on relevant systems (IT/paper based). Ensure all Fleet Planning activities are performed by suitably qualified, experienced and authorised personnel. Lead the integration of Fleet Planning activity within the business and in particular the engagement of key stakeholders at all stages of the process. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Requirements</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Minimum HND in a relevant Planning or Technical discipline, or suitable equivalent </li><li> High level of Regulatory Framework understanding and the ability to drive this framework structure into the Fleet Planning processes and activities </li><li> Demonstrate a sound understanding of the platform contract </li><li> Able to design, implement and foster a Continuous Improvement culture, underpinned by appropriate management reporting systems </li><li> Able to take the lead in developing an efficient and cost effective Fleet Planning strategy </li><li> Demonstrate a good understanding of Reliability Programmes and the impact of their findings on the Operator Maintenance Programme </li><li> Able to influence the development of the Reliability and Operator Maintenance Programmes to maximise the fleet’s performance </li><li> Demonstrate a good understanding of Maintenance Tasking & Verification. </li><li> Provide direction and advice to the Fleet Planning team(s) on planning related issues, addressing both individual aircraft and fleet-wide issues </li><li> Able to manage the competency and authorisations of the Fleet Planning department </li><li> Ability to analyse and interpret data </li><li> Works with senior management to generate, drive and implement long-term improvements in order to enhance performance or overcome non-compliance across departments / functions </li><li> Develops and maximises employee performance and motivates teams, in order to meet organisational standards and requirements </li><li> Human Factors- Standard Course Specification. </li><li> E&PW Awareness- Standard Course Specification. </li><li> ITAR Awareness- Standard Course Specification. </li><li> IT Literate. </li><li> UK Driving licence </li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Benefits</u></strong><p><br></p>Competitive and comprehensive international salary package in a fast-growing environment.
