Job Description
Overview:
The Fitness Instructor will be responsible for providing assistance to guests in all aspects of fitness and well-being. This will include classes, specific training, inductions and general gym monitoring.
Job Functions:

Conduct self in a professional manner at all times.Β Adhere to the established standard of conduct and house rules, fire regulations, and department procedures and policies.

Dress in issued uniform and ensures a neat, clean, and tidy appearance at all times, adhering to the established Grooming Standards Policy.

Maintain a pro-active presence in all fitness areas, offering help, advice and support to all users. Acknowledging and being courteous to all visitors to the Spa and gym.

Establish exercise programs for guests and members taking into account their needs and current physical well being. Records must be kept and monitoring should take place on a regular basis.

Conduct fitness assessments and personal training as per the schedule.

Instruct fitness classes and any other activities as offered by The Spa.

Have day to day responsibility for equipment, cleanliness and hygiene within the gym and studio.

Keep up to date with all current fitness trends and legislation and ensure that your advice is safe, correct and current.

Be flexible in your approach to tasks performed within The Spa and to classes undertaken.

Ensure that where any certification for qualifications needs to be renewed that this is brought to the attention of the Senior Fitness Instructor / Spa Director at least three months before current certification expires.

Attend all training courses as deemed necessary by Spa Director.

Aware of your responsibilities in accident reporting and all Health and Safety issues.

Have an understanding of what it takes to exceed guest expectations by providing first class standards of presentation, health and safety and customer care.

Ensure guests receive a warm welcome to the premises and providing a high level of hospitality

Good eye for detail and a desire to take responsibility, through to resolution, for issues and concerns generated by our guest

Ensure Fitness Open up and Close down are completed correctly in line with Four Seasons SOPβs.

Ensure the booking dairy is populated correctly with staff rotas, lunches and other designated duties

Supervise the pool and lockers as required or when instructed to do so.

Other duties as required and requested by management.
Requirements:
-
1-2 years of experience in a luxury hotel or spa setting.

Candidate must be guest focused and have excellent presentation skills
-
English language / reading writing & speaking is mandatory.

Dynamic adaptability and flexibility to the needs of hospitality industry work schedule.
-
Experience of maintaining the highest level of service in high-pressure situation.
