Job Description

The ideal candidate will create, draft, and design fire-fighting pump layouts and schemes as per NFPA 20 standards. Additionally, shall be able to prepare estimation/costing sheets and quotations/offers for the fire-fighting pump sets.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design fire-fighting pumps
  • Understand client application/specification
  • Estimate the final product cost
  • Prepare quotations based on client specification
  • Follow-up submitted offers with the client

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in “Mechanical Engineering” is a must. Other fields are strictly not acceptable.
  • Must have a minimum of 5+ years of fire-fighting pump industry experience. Applications from other fields shall not be considered.
  • Must have a local experience in the United Arab Emirates. Applications with experience in other countries shall not be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of up-to-date NFPA 20 standards “Stationary Fire Pumps”.
  • Strong knowledge of computer-aided design CAD, especially 2D/3D AutoCAD, Solidworks 3D modeling, or alternative.
  • Previous experience with fire-fighting factory testing procedures shall be an advantage.
  • Previous experience with UL/FM standards and UL/FM testing procedures shall be an advantage.
