The Fire Inspector will be responsible for utilizing resources to accomplish oper…<br><br>The Fire Inspector will be primarily based at one of the three BLiSS sites in Iraq, and serve the Life Support Services contract in support of the State Department. The Fire Inspector will be responsible for utilizing resources to accomplish operational requirements and will report to the Deputy Fire Chief/Fire Chief. The additional duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive:<br><br><strong>DUTIES:<br></strong><ul><li>Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace. </li><li>Comply with all Environmental Health &amp; Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. </li><li>Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation. </li><li>Manage the fire inspection and prevention program at the site level. </li><li>Ensure Fire protection services are executed in accordance with AR 420-1 Chapter 25. </li><li>Perform additional duties and projects as assigned. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Other Duties: <br></strong><ul><li>This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. </li><li>Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice and you may be requested to perform other duties as assigned. <br><br></li></ul><strong>REQUIRED:</strong> <ul><li> Minimum Acceptable Experience Level:</li><ul><li>Three (3) to five (5) years’ Fire Fighting and Fire </li><li>Protection experience on a DoD contract to include completing fire inspections and ensuring code compliance. </li></ul><li> Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: </li><ul><li>DOD, IFSAC or ProBoard Fire Instructor I </li><li>DOD, IFSAC or ProBoard Fire Inspector II </li><li>DOD, IFSAC or ProBoard Fire Fighter I &amp; II </li><li>DOD, IFSAC or ProBoard Airport Fire Fighter </li><li>DOD, IFSAC or ProBoard HazMat Awareness and Operations </li><li>First Responder and CPR Certified</li><li>Ability to maintain all required certifications and licensures. </li></ul></ul> <ul><li>Ability to collect, analyze, and summarize data to prepare clear and concise reports. </li><ul><li>Exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently. </li></ul></ul> <ul><li> Education: A high school diploma or GED is required. </li><li> Passport, Licenses and Certifications: As part of pre-contingency requirements, by the time the visa process starts, candidates must possess a valid passport with a minimum of 18 months remaining to expiration date with 8 blank pages. </li><ul><li>Valid drivers’ license. </li><li>DoD First Responder and CPR Certified</li><li>DOD, IFSAC or ProBoard:</li><li>Fire Officer II </li><li>Fire Instructor I </li><li>Fire Inspector II </li><li>HazMat Incident Commander </li><li>HazMat Awareness and Operations </li><li>Fire Fighter I &amp; II </li><li>Airport Fire Fighter </li><li> Security Vetting: Already possess an active DoD or DoS Secret clearance or be able to obtain a favorable Secret clearance prior to being hired. Must maintain eligibility for the duration of the contract. </li><li> Language Skills: Satisfactory English proficiency to meet job requirements and to adhere and comply with safety, health, and security measures. </li><li> Medical: Successfully complete and pass the medical and dental examinations as required by Amentum and our customer for deployment to Iraq. Must maintain physical and dental requirements for duration of deployment. <br><br></li></ul><strong>DESIRED:<br></strong><ul><li>Three (3) years’ of international experience in challenging locations, preferably working in the Middle East, with a working knowledge of customs and cultural differences. </li><li>Previous out of home country experience is highly desirable and previous work experience in </li><li>harsh environmental conditions is a plus. </li><li>DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard Fire Inspector III. </li><li>Experience working with Amentum / PAE. <br><br></li></ul>Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
