We are looking for a skilled and experienced Financial Controller with UAE experience to join our Lux team in Dubai. Our UAE practice contains actuarial professionals with diverse exposure across geographies and disciplines. We are the first company in the MENA region certified by the Quality Assurance Scheme of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries UK. Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company and ensuring that financial policies and procedures are followed in compliance with regulations and standards.Also, providing strategic financial guidance to the management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy through a range of avenues such as managing and allocating accounts, financial statements, and tax data. The candidate will also be the point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations for action.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, including financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Manage cash flow, including the preparation of cash flow projections and the development of strategies to optimize cash resources.
- Coordinate and oversee the audit process, including liaising with auditors and ensuring compliance with all audit requirements.
- Responsible for handling overdue collections and follow up with clients to ensure smooth collection process.Discuss accounts receivable status with the management.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.Also coordinate and provide guidance, training, and support as needed to support staff.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Requirements:
Essential:
- 5 to 7 years of experience in a finance leadership role, preferably in the consulting / insurance industry.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements
Desired:
- Familiarity with GCC Market and Industry Experience
- Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or CA preferred
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, and accounting softwares such as Zoho.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
