Job Description
<strong><u>About The Role<br><br></u></strong>Responsible in maintaining accurate, complete, reliable accounting information of Qatar Airways Subsidiaries complying with existing Qatar Airways Groups’ accounting policies and International Financial Reporting Standard. Responsible for accurate transactions and information by ensuring proper reconciliation, review and correct accounting.<br><br><strong><u>Roles And Responsibilities<br></u></strong><ul><li>Perform activities related to financial accounting including accounting of new business transactions in compliance with IFRS and timely completion of audits both external and internal.</li><li>Responsible for the preparations of financial statements of assigned business as per IFRS.</li><li>Perform procedures to identify accounting gaps by reviewing General Ledger schedules and reporting the gaps to the concerned teams as per defined format.</li><li>Perform month-end closing processes by setting closing timelines in consultation with teams, ensure books are closed as per agreed timelines and all of the closing activities are completed by respective teams accurately.</li><li>Perform foreign currency revaluations of accounts payable, receivables and bank balances.</li><li>Ensure accuracy of periodic system reports by proper reconciliations of different modules within ERP and other reporting tools and liaise with different stakeholders in all the departments to ensure accurate data capturing and reporting.</li><li>Key contributor to the effective design in improving existing processes and actively participates in identifying improvement of the system usage to ensure desired results are achieved. To ensure processes performed are effective by eliminating inefficient procedures.</li><li>Ensure a systematic and timely follow up and resolution of all pending issues. To escalate matters if unresolved within the agreed timelines.</li><li>Ensure all relevant master data are updated accurately into the ERP systems.</li><li>Ensures all transactions and information are reconciled, reviewed and correctly accounted in a timely manner.</li><li>Perform finance and operational analysis of relevant data.</li><li>Participate in all audit activities (internal, external or state) and comply with auditors request during the audit by ensuring all documents are provided and queries attended, in a timely manner.<br></li></ul><strong>Be part of an extraordinary story <br><br></strong>Your skills. Join us as we dare to achieve what’s never been done before.<br><br>Together, everything is possible.<br><br><strong><u>Qualifications<br><br></u></strong><strong>About You<br></strong><ul><li>Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor’s level or equivalent </li><li>High School graduate with more than 10 years of relevant experience</li><li>Minimum 4 years relevant experience</li><li>Strong analytical skills with ability to review variances, understand business cycles and their impact in the profit and loss accounts.</li><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must, as is the ability to work effectively across the organization.</li><li>Extensive knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards</li><li>Must have excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, MS Access and Power Point and have proficiency with Oracle Financials, Navision and JD Edwards</li><li>Must have excellent organizational ability to be able to set priorities, handle multiple responsibilities work interruptions and meet deadlines.</li><li>Experience working to tight internal reporting timescales.<br></li></ul><strong><u>About Qatar Airways Group<br><br></u></strong>Our story started with four aircraft.
