<p>To develop and maintain all necessary financial controls, systems, and processes to ensure the efficient and effective management of the company’s finances and compliance with statutory requirements.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li> Set accounting and financial operational objectives and priorities for related functions in line with the business objectives of the company.</li><li>Direct the development and oversee the implementation of financial policies, procedures, controls, and covering all activities of related functions.</li><li> Develop systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective management of the company’s finances and compliance with statutory requirements.</li><li> Direct and supervise Finance staff to ensure that they are appropriately trained and carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.</li><li> Monitoring the accuracy of financial recordings by the finance staff</li><li>Timely closure of financial periods</li><li>Produce accurate and timely financial information about the company’s financial status and performance to enable decisions to be taken relating to the company’s financial strength and security.</li><li>Produce all necessary statements and reports to enable the accurate measurement of profit and loss, receivables, payables.. etc.</li><li>Main PoC for internal audit reviews and monitoring the financial effectiveness of systems and controls.</li><li> Recommend any changes necessary to improve the company’s financial performance and financial controls.</li><li> Keep up to date with any developments in financial management which might affect how the company’s finances are managed or its statutory obligations.</li><li> Explore process enhancement activities, and drive the team to achieve efficient workflows.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Management Reports:</strong></p><ul><li> Direct &amp; ensure the preparation of periodical/annual reports to keep top management informed about the progress of business initiatives/issues and facilitated decision-making.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Accounting or equivalent, and a CPA/ CA qualification.</li><li>Minimum 8 years of total work experience in Accounting and Finance within a professional services environment with previous experience in management.</li><li>Experience in the Insurance industry is a must.</li><li> Big 4 audit experience is an added advantage.</li></ul>
