The Finance Manager (Deputy CFO) of Saudi, Kuwait and Bahrain role reports to the Middle East and Africa (MEA) North cluster CFO and support actively all key finance processes and sales operations of the legal entities active in these territories.

Key responsibilities include:

– Acting as a trusted business partner to the Local Managing Director(s) and leadership team members on all key and strategic finance related topics.
– Working closely with other finance related functions member of GFA Board area (Corporate Financial Reporting, Controlling, Tax, treasury, Office of Ethics and Compliance, Cash Collection) and with Global Finance Shared Services (GFSS) to drive viability of the organization.
– Supporting the global finance strategy implementation as local finance representative
– Taking part to customer facing negotiations when requested during pre and post sales cycle to facilitate deal closures and customer disputes settlement.
– Proactively and innovatively driving business solutions to specific market related challenges including key government policies that will impact the business.
– Support Account Receivables in on complex collection cases activities and manage cash collections escalations. Evaluate deals for concessions and carve out risks in line with EHF policies. Support with evaluation of customer payment assessment.
– Participating in Forecast Calls with aim of ensuring the deals forecasted do not have unexpected issues linked to Financial matters
– Supporting the Local Tax Manager on tax related matters as may be requested from time to time.
– Optimize the operating costs of the Market Unit by:
– Controlling the spending on certain cost items and alerting the relative colleagues with their budget and year to ay spending.
– Deciding on the Internal Order Requests
– Assessing the major supplier process and sharing view with Global Procurement Team.
– Periodically in collaboration with Controlling team, review and provide P&L analysis to the country leadership and provide advisory.
– Review the balance sheet and P&L accounts with local Chief Accountant
– Supporting local statutory and tax audits in close collaboration with the Global Finance roles in charge (Local Chief Accountant -LCA- and Local Tax Manager -LTM-).
– Working closely with Legal department on all regulatory topics of the local entity.
– Support budgeting process by evaluating budget requests and prioritization thereof.
– Manage bank relationship including managing the company corporate card program and the validity of bank facilities
– Address ad-hoc/urgent payment requests
– Develop and deepen key business relationship with external customers.
– Act as finance representative in key meetings both internal/external as required.
– Any ad-hoc requests/duties assigned by the line manager.
