Finance Manager – Food & Beverage Manufacturing

Job Purpose:

A food & beverage manufacturing company is looking to hire a strategic finance manager with excellent organizational and analytical skills, who will help in making strategic decisions that grow and expand the business. To ensure success, finance managers should have strong communication skills, deep commercial awareness, strong numeracy skills, and a keen interest in the growth, efficiency, and profitability of an organization. Finance managers are expected to be detail-oriented, knowledgeable about statistics, have strong problem-solving skills, and have an investigative nature.

Accountabilities:

  • Act as a strategic finance consultant for the management and proactively highlight any risk in advance, and provide the recommended directions that help in making a better decision.
  • Direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports
  • Grow financial performance through analysis of financial results, forecasts, variances, and trends
  • Preparation of the annual budget, ensuring it is understood by management. Regularly monitoring the business performance to the budget.
  • Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets
  • Prepare all financial reporting which will be periodically presented to the Board
  • Establish and develop strong relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders
  • Control expenses and ensure alignment with the budget.
  • Track cash flow and financial planning as well as analyze the company’s financial
  • Ensure effective communications with the management team and provide them with needed directions and guidelines..
  • Cost analysis and analysis of profitability across the business lines and by product. Maintain and control the standard costs in the site ERP system.
  • Fixed asset management and new capital project authorization
  • To lead continuous improvement initiatives and to drive efficiency through the business.
  • Oversee the payroll authorization process.
  • Managing slow-moving stocks, both finished products and consumables, with the aim to minimize the site’s exposure
  • Provide leadership, direction, and management to the finance and accounting team and coach them to develop their skills and experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA is a plus
  • 8+ years of Finance experience
  • Professional qualifications i.e. CA, CPA, CFA, CMA
  • Advanced knowledge of financial systems (e.g., SAP or any other ERP system) and strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong financial analysis and management skills; good business acumen
  • Must also take initiative and is a self-starter
  • Professional services industry experience preferred
  • Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control
  • Ability to write practical reports and presentations
  • Strong familiarity with Finance and Accounting management systems and software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Project management – Ability to manage progress against the work plan
  • Ability to meet Audit and statutory deadlines
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, Arabic language is plus.
