Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

To implement the overall financial strategy to serve the operational objectives of DCT sector/department. Manage ongoing development and monitor of control systems designed to preserve DCT’s assets and report accurate financial results. Lead the team towards operational excellence by managing financial activities of the allocated sector to achieve profitability through applying international financial standards and in compliance with set policies and procedures, local laws and regulations.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

Financial Control
• Implement efficient and effective management of DCT financials of allocated sector/department through all necessary financial controls, systems and processes.
• Maintain a robust control and governance environment in line with regulatory requirements and consistent with the DCT internal policies and ensures statutory compliances of all systems, processes & accounting practices.
• Manage administration of the approved accounting practices to ensure that financial statements and reports accurately reflect the status of the relevant accounts and provide reliable information.

 

Financial Reporting
• Prepare and analyze of all financial reports for the respective sector/department(s), including income statements, balance sheet and cash flow statements in accordance with financial accounting standards.
• Coordinate with all payroll, purchase, accounts receivable, payable, ledgers and reporting systems on a regular basis and ensure compliance with required accounting standards and other regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all accounting treatments are compliant with International Finance Reporting Standards and International Accounting Standards. Ensure timely preparation of periodic and yearly financial statements as per statutory accounting regulations.

 

Liquidity Management
• Manage liquidity via monitoring cash balances and forecasts, as well as monitoring revenue optimization, cost controls and cash flow in coordination with centralised finance.
• Implement tools and systems to provide critical financial decisions and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations to ensure healthy cash flow for allocated sector.
• Ensure the funding of investment requirements are timely processed and met.
 

Collaboration
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on matters related to Finance for allocated sector/department in order to facilitate flow of information and also to build awareness in those areas.
 

Day-to-Day Operations
• Follow the day-to-day operations set by the Finance Business Partner Manager to ensure continuity of work and the delivery of effective and high quality outputs.
• Report on a regular basis to Finance Business Partner Manager on operational activities, challenges, hurdles and methods of resolution or mitigation etc. as required to keep the Finance Business Partner Manager informed and updated about the unit’s activities.
 

EHS (Environment, Health and Safety)
• Comply with all relevant EHS guidelines, policies and procedures, by reporting incidents and hazards on a timely manner, and reduce consumption of natural resources to support in protecting the environment and ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

 

Change Management
• Support the creation of culture susceptible to change management through a ‘hands-on’ and ‘can-do’ approach to DCT’s new business opportunities, participating in the development of new initiatives, meeting planned targets, and demonstrating preferred high-performance behaviours.
