<p>Lonmile is inviting applications for a Finance Assistant for our Dubai office. We are a team of highly experienced professionals in private client services operating out of offices in London, Lisbon, and Dubai, servicing a global client base. The candidate would benefit from unparalleled access to learning about many industries and practices from different jurisdictions and would be part of an established and ambitious team that is rapidly expanding with a global footprint.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Core Duties/Responsibilities</strong></p><p>The successful candidate will be a key member of the team which has responsibility for the client accounting and financial reporting of a group of companies. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p><p><strong>Finance:</strong></p><p>β€’ Bookkeeping and bank reconciliations</p><p>β€’ Assisting with month-end and year-end financial reporting</p><p>β€’ Assisting with processing invoices and expenses</p><p>β€’ Maintaining accurate financial records</p><p>β€’ Assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts</p><p>β€’ Assisting with the production of monthly management and annual statutory accounts</p><p>β€’ Maintaining a good level of technical accounting knowledge to ensure that accounts are prepared correctly and in line with the relevant accounting standards.</p><p>β€’ Ensuring all reporting deadlines are met without exception</p><p>β€’ Balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with best practice</p><p>β€’ Journal processing, including ensuring the correct accounting of accruals and prepayments</p><p>β€’ Variance analysis</p><p>β€’ Ad-hoc reporting and analysis</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p>The company is looking for an ideal candidate with the following skills, capabilities, and attributes:</p><p>β€’ Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related subject</p><p>β€’ Intermediate level Excel skills and knowledge of accounting software Sage or Xero</p><p>β€’ Excellent attention to detail.</p><p>β€’ Highly organized and proactive.</p><p>β€’ Prior experience of VAT returns.</p><p>β€’ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</p><p>β€’ Prioritizing and planning own workload and being proactive.</p><p>β€’ Working collaboratively and proactively across the team in different offices to support and assist colleagues, maintaining effective relationships.</p><p><br></p>
