The NEOM project is being built from the ground up as a living laboratory incorporating sustainable cities, sustainable industries, communities, and high quality of living throughout, with technology-based services in health, education, transport, sport, entertainment, and other fields. Tourism will be a major economic driver and the number one job creator for NEOM and will be a key sector in developing the image and reputation of this new world destination.<p><br></p>The NEOM higher education sector encompasses 3 Pillars: NEOM U, ERI Foundation and the Talent Academy and will act as the primary drivers of Higher Education and research in the region, working in partnership with the key employment sectors.<p><br></p>The ERI Foundation funds a number of Applied Research Institutes (ARIs) and seeks to a hire a field work technician will be responsible for performing a range of technical tasks related to field research. This may include setting up and maintaining equipment, collecting and analyzing data, and assisting with the implementation of research projects. The work will involve a variety of settings, including labs, field stations, and outdoor research sites, and may be required to be at sea for extended periods of time. In addition to technical skills, the candidate should have strong problem-solving and communication skills, as they may be required to work as part of a team and to interact with researchers and other professionals.<p><br></p><strong>Key Accountabilities &amp; Activities</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Support in field and laboratory experiments. </li><li> Participation in research cruises and coastal field surveys. </li><li> Sample analysis. </li><li> Operation of marine instruments and autonomous vehicles .</li></ul>
